HAVANA - Carl "Ivan" Siltman, 79, of Hobart, Tasmania, Australia, formerly of Havana, died Thursday, April 1, 1999, in Tasmania.

Born March 29, 1920, in Havana to John and Nettie Toland Siltman, he married Nea Beryl Worsley in 1943. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Michael; four daughters, Julie, Ruth, Tracey and Lynellen; several grandchildren; and two sisters, Ernestine Siltman and Illa Helensmith, both of Havana.

He was preceded in death by one son, Robert, two sisters and four brothers. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. Services were in Australia. Obituary information was provided by Hurley Funeral Home in Havana.

He was born March 29, 1920, in Havana, the son of John and Nettie Toland Siltman. He married Nea Beryl Worsley in 1943. A son, Robert, preceded him in death.

Mr. Siltman served in the U.S. Marines and the Australian Air Force.

Survivors: wife, Nea; a son, Michael Siltman; four daughters, Julie, Ruth, Tracey and Lynellen; several grandchildren; and two sisters, Ernestine Siltman and Illa Helensmith, both of Havana.

Services were held in Australia.
