Clyde Toland I Peoria Journal Star, October 23, 1998, Page: B4 SNICARTE - Clyde Toland Sr., 90, of 1495 E. Colchester Circle, Port St. Lucie, Fla., formerly of Snicarte, died at 12:20 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, 1998, at the Hospice of Martin and St. Lucie in Stuart, Fla. Born Nov. 2, 1907, in Snicarte to John and Lois Vaughn Toland, he married Emma Long. She survives. Also surviving are one son, Clyde Jr. of Miami; one daughter, Lois Koepke of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; three stepdaughters, Gail Coulter and Nancy Miller, both of Xenia, Ohio, and Joellen Gunsauley of Morrill, Kan.; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nephews. A World War II veteran, he served in the Navy for 26 years, achieving the rank of commander. He was awarded the Silver Star and the Purple Heart. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Port St. Lucie. Graveside services conducted by Chandlerville Masonic Lodge will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Snicarte Cemetery.
