Standing out prominently as a substantial citizen and business man of Metropolis if R.M. Hendrickson, the well and favorably known agent for the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad.
Mr. Hendrickson was born at Plymouth, Illinois, on the 3rd day of November, 1864, and attended the common schools tin the place. he is surrounded with a happy home in which are domiciled his wife (nee Edna Bickford) and one son, Dale.
Mr. Hendrickson has been in the railroad service for thirty-two years, sixteen years with the present company. Prior to going to the Burlington, he was with the Sante Fe and worked for this company in Colorado, New Mexico and Texas. He came to Metropolis, October 15th, 1910, and during his six years residence here he has endeared himself to our citizens in general and gained a large circle of friends. These friends have been gained by his courteous treatment to everyone and his thorough business qualities and also to his unsurpassed knowledge of the railroad business. he is practical in every way and is conversant with every phase in the railroad traffic.
He is a man of progressive ideas and has a deep interest in Metropolis. His views on civil lines are in keeping with these modern times and he entered into the proposition with us in the issuing of this industrial Edition with a willingness that stamps him as a booster for the city. Mr. Hendrickson represents the conservative business man of today. There is nothing flashy about him, but he bears a demeanor that commands the respect of all.
He's a valuable asset for the city of Metropolis.
