LLOYD L. HELM

Lloyd L. Helm was born and raised in Metropolis and is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Senator D.W. Helm. He attended the public schools of Metropolis during his earlier years, and in 1908 graduated from the Metropolis High school. Later he attended the Illinois University and took a course at the Literature and Arts college and graduated in 1912.

In 1914 he bought a half interest in the Massac Journal Republican and assumed control as business manger of same. He is also Secretary of the Metropolis Commercial Club and enjoys the confidence and esteem of all who know him. He is fond of, and a leader in all sports and athletic games and is highly popular with the young people of the city. As a business man he is qualified to meet most any and all requirements made of him as regards fitness, sound judgement and general qualifications, and he has a host of friends both in this city and county.
