Although Pope county some 39 years ago claimed Otis L. Gullett as her scion. Metropolis by right of several years residence owns him as a successful business man and one who has done a great deal in helping to build up the town. Established in business here on Ferry Street with an up-to-date stock of Clothing and Gents' Furnishings, he has won a splendid patronage and hundreds of friends by his honorable business methods.

The store is well equipped with clothing and gent's furnishings and such well known brands as the B. Kuppenheimer & Co. Clothing, the W.L. Douglas Shoes, the Geo. P Ide Shirts and Collars and the Mayer Bros. Clothing are constantly in stock here.

Mr. Gullett as above stated was born in Golconda, Feb. 20th , 1877, and was educated in the public schools of that city. He was engaged in the mercantile business in that city prior to coming to Metropolis and made a great success there. He worked as clerk in the clothing stores at said place until 1906 at which time he moved to Carbondale and engaged in the clothing business under the firm name of Boos 7 Gullett and made great success there.

He came here and opened his present gent's furnishings store July 15th 1909 and from the first day of his opening he has been meeting with success. He ----- close ------ to his business and is ever on the alert that no customer is dissatisfied.
