DEATH TAKES T. COLLINS, OLD HARTLAND SETTLER
Six Children Survive Aged Farmer; Migrated here in 1861
Funeral services for T.B. Collins, 82 of Hartland, who died at 8 p.m. on Wednesday at his home, were held from
the St. Patrick's church at Hartland on Saturday. Solemn requiem mass was celebrated by Father Kearney assisted
by Father Kildarry of Cary and Father Leo Keenan of Dundee. Interment was at the St. Joseph's cemetery in Hartland.
Collins was born May 4, 1842, in Cork county, Ireland. In 1861 he migrated to this country and settled as a farmer
in Hartland several years later. He married Mary Healy here in 1869. Eight children were born to Mr. and Mrs.
Collins. Those who survive him are Charles, John, Catherine, Hartland; Dennis, Wibaux, Mont.; Mrs. Henry Bonner,
Chicago; and Thomas, Crystal Lake. Edward and James died in their infancy.
Out of town mourners who attended the services were Mrs. F. Domlos, Mrs. William Gries, Thomas Fitzgibbons, Paul
Bonner, Patrick Healy, Mrs. Jeremia Sullivan, Frank Sullivan, George Brickley, Patrick Collins and Richard Collins
of Chicago, Timothy Collins of Racine, Wis., and Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Goggin of Chicago. [Sun, Dec. 28, 1924, Submitted By: Jean Collins]

DIED:- In Nunda, Ill. Aug. 6, of cancer, Eugene Conover, eldest son of Mr. & Mrs. J. L. Conover, aged 36 years
8 months. The funeral was held in the M. E. Church on Monday, the sermon was preached by Rev. J. M. Conlee, his
text was 3 verse, 3 chapt. of John. The remains were then taken to Crystal Lake cemetery. Mr. Conovers people have
