Born: March 16, 1755, In Orange County, North Carolina.

Died: September 5, 1838, in Sangamon (now Menard) County, Illinois.

Buried: In Lebanon Cemetery, Indian Creek Precinct, Menard County, Illinois.

Married: Jennie Killion, a cousin. She died February 18, 1828 in Scott County, Indiana.

Children of Jacob and Jennie Killion

Michael: born August 27, 1787; married Catherine Estill.
Jacob: born September 12, 1794; married Mary Hayden.

He served from May 25, 1781 to May 25, 1782 in the 10th North Carolina Regiment under Col. Abraham, and Major Donohoe and General Greene. Part of the time he was a guard to British prisoners, from Eutaw Salisburg, North Carolina.

He was allowed pension.

His grave was marked by Pierre Menard Chapter DAR, Petersburg, Illinois.
