Former Resident Dies in Springfield
John Quincy Adams was found dead in his bed at noon Sunday, by the proprietor of the rooming house on East Adams street where he lived. He was 82 years old and had lived in Springfield about 15 years, going there from this city.

Surviving are 4 sons, Dennis L, John L, Charles LeRoy, and Harry Leonard, all of Springfield, 3 daughters, Mrs. Goldie Marie High, Springfield; Mrs. Beatrice Williams, Beardstown; and Mrs. Mary Constant, Lincoln.

Funeral services were held at the Vancil Funeral home in Springfield Wednesday, October 4 at 1 p.m. conducted by Rev. William M. Groves. Burial was in Rose Hill at Petersburg.
