David S Bell June 17, 1915, Aberdeen Weekly News [South Dakota] David S. Bell, 80 years old, a retired farmer and civil war veteran, died at 7 o'clock Saturday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Fred O. McNames, 102 Ninth Avenue southwest, of stomach trouble. The deceased was born in Menard county, Illinois, October 16, 1834. He was the son of A.B. and Mary White Bell. He leaves to mourn his loss a son, Charles T. Bell, of Dallas, Ore., and a daughter, Mrs. Fred. O. McNames, of Aberdeen. Among the other survivors are three grandsons, two granddaughters and one greatgrandson. Mr. Bell was converted in early youth, lived and died in the faith. He was a member of the Baptist church in Illinois. He showed by his patience and suffering during the last two years that he had trusted in his Lord. The deceased was a charter member of the Thomas Elsom Post Northville and a veteran of the war.
