Petersburg Observer, February 26, 1898

Mrs. Thomas Brewer died at her home in Greenview Sunday last of consumption, aged about 45 years. She was a highly respected christian lady and leaves a husband and five children to mourn her death. The funeral services were conducted Tuesday by Rev. Charles E. Smoot and the remains were buried in Sugar Grove cemetery.
