Petersburg Observer, March 12, 1904

Fleming Killion died at his home near Petersburg Friday March 4, 1904, aged 50 years, 3 months, and 3 days. He was born in Menard county, Ill., December 1, 1853 and was married September 3, 1885. To this union were born four children, three of whom are living, Claude, Edna and Riley, Ethel having died some years ago. Mr. Killion professed faith in Christ in 1884, and joined the Lebanon C. P. church. During the last eighteen years he has been a suffered (sic) from cancer but has borne the affliction bravely and patiently. He leaves to mourn his loss, the loving wife, three children, a brother and four sisters. Funeral services were held at the late residence Sunday morning March 6. Interment was made in Lebanon cemetery.
