Mrs. Mary Kinney Aged Resident of Pekin Passes Away
Her marriage to Joseph F. Kinney took place at Crane's Creek, Ill., Nov. 26, 1874. The family had resided in Pekin for a number of years and Mrs. Kinney had many friends here who will regret to learn of her passing. She is survived by her husband, two sons, George E. and Henry C. Kinney of Pekin and a daughter, Mrs. Opal Hinds of Pleasant Plains.
She also leaves the following brothers and sisters: John R. Hawkins, Mrs. Sarah Rogers and Harry Hawkins of Springfield; Mrs. G. A. Cooper, Oakford; Joseph Hawkins of Peoria and Henry Hawkins of Peoria. Nine grandchildren and one great grandchild survive.
Mrs. Kinney was taken to the Lohnes funeral home, where friends may call. Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed, but burial will be in the cemetery at Petersburg.

Short funeral services for Mrs. Kinney will be held at the Lohnes funeral home tomorrow at 10 o'clock, Rev. Webdell in charge. The funeral cortege will leave for Petersburg at 10:30 o'clock and at 2:30 p.m. services will be held in the Petersburg Baptist church. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening.
