Petersburg Observer, May 24, 1884

Mrs. Wm. Tripp, daughter of John Brewer, near Greenview, died very suddenly on Thursday night of this week. She was attending a church festival at Marbold's hall in Greenview, and during the early part of the evening began feeling ill, and started to go down stairs, but as she reached the stair door blood rushed out of her nose and mouth. She was assisted down stairs by friends, and taken to a house close by where medical aid was summoned, but nothing could be done to stop the hemorrhage, and in a short time, Mrs. Tripp expired. She was the wife of Wm. Tripp, of the firm of Tripp & Hughes.
