I, Henry Baum, of the County of Menard and State of Illinois, of the age of about fiftyeight years and being of sound mind and memory, do hereby make, publish and declare this my last will and testament in manner following:
First: I direct that all of my just debts be fully paid.
Second: I give and bequeath all of my personal estate to my wife, Alice Baum, absolutely and forever.
Third: I give and devise all of my real estate wherever situated, subject to the limitations and provisions hereinafter contained, to my wife, Alice Baum, to have and to hold the same for and during the term of her natural life or so long as she shall remain my widow: Provided however in case of the remarriage of my said wife then thereafter she shall have only one third of the net income from my real estate for and during the term of her natural life, and subject to the estate therein of my said wife as herein provided, I give and devise my said real estate in fee simple, to my children, share and share alike; and in case of the death of any of my children prior to the death of my said wife leaving him or her surviving child or children who shall be living at the date of the death of my said wife, then and in such case such child or children shall take the share or part of my said real estate which the parent of such child would have taken if living.
Lastly: I hereby nominate and appoint my said wife, Alice Baum, sole executrix of this my last will, without bond, and hereby revoke any and all former wills by me at any time heretofore made. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 5th day of April A. D. 1916.
The above and foregoing instrument was at the date thereof signed sealed published and declared by the said Henry Baum as an for his last will and testament, in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other, have hereunto subscribed out names as witnesses thereto.
