UNKNOWN CEMETERY #1
These graves are in a pasture lot on the farm of a Mr Isbell north and west of the old Hurricane settlement.
Elder Sears was one of the first settlers in the county, coming in the fall of 1816 or spring of 1817
with the first colony of settlers. He was a Baptist pioneer preacher and organized the first church and
built the first house of worship in the county in 1820.

These graves are in a pasture lot, near the road, on the farm of Joseph Spinner , East of Hillsboro.
The body of the Revolutionary soldier THOMAS BROCKMAN, lies in this lot but the spot is unmarked
and probably unknown to any one living now.
