Earl Stout of the Capitol Theatre announces that the old Renault Cab, one of the few remaining cabs that formed
the historic and spectacular taxi cab army which Galliene commanded to transport the French troops to the front
in 1914 when the Germans were but twenty five miles from Paris will arrive in Litchfield on next Sunday, May 1,
at 11 o'clock am…..

Aroma Class of the First ME Church
The Aroma Class of the First ME Church met Thursday evening at the home of Mrs Mary James on N Madison St, forty
being present. After the business meeting a very enjoyable evening was spent. Mrs Alta Whitten and Mrs Myrtle
Stratman assisted Mrs James in serving sandwiches, angel food cake and coffee, then all were taken for a ride which
terminated at the Litchfield Candy Kitchen where they had an ice cream cone. [Litchfield

Rotarians Returning Home
Hon Amos Miller, Rev Ezra Keller and Dr Z V Kimball will leave England on Saturday of this week to sale on their
return trip home…They attended the Rotary International convention at Ostend, Belgium and since then they have

last night for Chicago where they will join the IL delegates to the International Christian Endeavor convention
which will be held at Cleveland OH, July 2 to 7th. They will also visit Niagara Falls while away and return from
Buffalo by boat.
- Messrs H C Gorin and Kenyon Montgomery of Litchfield Grocery Company leave tomorrow
for Chicago where they will attend the Illinois Grocery Men's Convention on Tuesday in that city. They will return
home Wednesday.
