F. W. Campbell

Frederick William Campbell, 83, of 234 Rock Island Ave., died Tuesday at 6:45 p.m. following a long illness.
He had been in resident of Rock Island address since 1905 and of Peoria 65 years.

Born Dec. 6, 1873, in Lockport, Ill., he was a son of William and Emma Proctor Campbell.  He married Mary Nancy McGinnis who died in 1905.
He then married Florence Bryte Mason in 1927 who died in 1950.

Mr. Campbell started working at the age of 17 for the Avery Farm Machinery Co. as assistant purchasingagent.  He retired in 1949.
He was a member of First Methodist Church.

Surviving are two sons, E. C. Campbell of Minneapolis, Minn., and Donald of Peoria; a daughter, Mrs. Grace Pease of Wadsworth, Ohio; five stepchildren,
Miss. Ruth Mason at home, Mrs Russell Robbins of Peoria, Mrs. George C. Seay of Washington, Ill., Mrs. Ethel Dunham of Kentucky and Oakley Mason of Peoria; three half-sisters, Mrs. Aubrey Tallyn of Peoria, Mrs.Esther Turner of Carbondale and Miss Ruby Campbell of California; and a half-brother,
Delmar Campbell in Louisiana. Five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in the Cumerford-Endsley memorial home.

Burial will be in Springdale cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5 to 9 tomorrow at the memorial home.
Dr. A. R. McLaughlin of Union Congregational Church will officiate.

DONALD CAMPBELL
Donald E. Campbell, 79, of 2225 E. Poplar Lane, Peoria Heights, died at 10:39 a.m. yesterday in the emergency room at St. Francis Hospital.
He was a tile setter fro Peoria Stone & Marble Co. for many years, retiring in December of 1966.
He was a member or Madison Avenue United Methodist Church, past president of Fraternal Order of Eagles 265, and a member of Bricklayers, Masons& Plasterers International for more than 50 years.
Born July 6, 1901, in Peoria, he was a son of Fred and Nancy McGinnis Campbell. He married Mary Short June 16, 1923, in Peoria.
She died Feb9, 1975 in Peoria.
Surviving is one sister, Grace Pease of Wadsworth, Ohio. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Jean Burbidge, and one brother.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Endsley & Son Funeral Home, 1125 Main, where visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.
Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
