APPRECIATION

In bringing out our last "Opinion" there are two persons to whom the Class of 1923 desires especially to express their appreciation.

The first of these is Mr. Van Buskirk, our beloved principal.  When we enter his office he always has a pleasant smile for us, and then when we ask for help, how that smile brightens!  "Van" is recognized as a friend by every member of the class of 1923.

To Mr. Alfred W. Beasley, superintendent of city schools, words cannot express our gratitude.  Whatever we have gained under Peoria's fine school system we owe in part indirectly to him.  He has always held high standards before us and has given earnestly of his time and effort for our good.  To P. H. S. he has always been and always will be "Uncle Al."
