Chillicothe One Room Schoolhouse

This photo is from the Missing Photo Section in the book "A History of the Very Early Colonial--The McLaughlins". Section Preface:

This section is comprised of late addition arrivals of missing photos of previously covered family members, whose names were known but pictures of them were not available.
At this time Harriet ( Sweeney) Peebles has supplied them from her family files. Her mother, Hulda A. McLaughlin had kept them for years.
We present them now on unnumbered pages and are much appreciated for her deep interest and generosity toward this history.

It is shared on this site:' Courtesy of Harriet Peebles and Gerald McLaughlin'

This photo was taken about 1902.
It is the One-Room Schoolhouse classroom of Hulda McLaughlin in Chillicothe, IL.
 Hulda was born in 1892

Note the calender near center of picture- It reads on the top- 'Great Rock Island Route".
On the blackboard, the name in chalk at the bottom is 'General McClellan'.
