Nancy Minerva Ann Hull, was
born in Warren County, Tennessee,
June 8, 1822. She, with her parents,
removed to Jackson County, Illinois,
in 1826, and came to Perry County
four years later and resided in this
county ever since. In early life she
professed Christ as her Savior and
united with the Nine Mile Baptist
Church, and in the organization of
Paradise Baptist Church, she , with
her husband, went in as charter
members. She remained a faithful
member until death. She was mar-
ried to Henry F. Hampleman Sep-
tember 25, 1842, who preceeded her
to the better world October 9, 1876.
To this union were born thirteen
children, five boys and eight girls.
Of this number nine are living and
all were present at the funeral, ex-
cepting Dessie Manis, who resides in
Denison, Texas, and on account of
sickness could not come. She de-
parted this life February 14, 1911,
aged eighty-eight years, eight
months, six days. She has gone to
meet the many loved ones who pre-
ceded her to the better world. Dur-
ing life she was a faithful wife, a de-
voted Christian, a loving mother, a
kind and affectionate neighbor. Her
funeral service was conducted by El-
der J. C. Harriss at Paradise Bap-
tist Church February 16, 1911, at
