She joined the Pleasant Hill Christian Church at about the age of 16 years; united with the First Baptist Church, Ava, Illinois, about 40 years ago, and has been a faithful member continuously to the time of her death. Mrs. Easterly was born to HENRY and POLLY CHEATHAM, both of whom have passed away. She was one of a family of nine children, brothers WILL, FRANK and THOMAS and sister, ANNA, having passed away several years ago. ROBERT R. CHEATHAM, Indio, Calif., CARRIE TIMLIN, Los Angeles, Calif., IDA CULLEY, Downey, Calif., MARY STOUT, Murphysboro, Illinois, survives. She was married to JOHN F. EASTERLY March 3, 1881. To this union seven children were born, two sons, LESLIE and AUBREY, of whom have passed away. The husband and following children survive: NORA E. TALBOTT, BURCH C. STOUT, and CHARLES B. EASTERLY of Ava, Illinois; and IDA L. BROUILLETTE and GORDON G. EASTERLY of Murphysboro, Illinois. In addition to the above relatives, she leaves to mourn her passing twenty-four grandchildren, all living, together with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Ava First Baptist Church of REV. FRED WRIGHT of Frankfort
Heights, Illinois, assisted by REV. F. C. LUEDECKE , pastor of the Ava Baptist Church.
