MARY EVA HEISNER, wife of CHARLES HEISNER, SR,
died at her home near Pinckneyville, IL at 1:45PM, February 12, 1923, at the age of 64 years, 10 months and 1 day.
 
Mrs. Heisner was the daughter of MR. and MRS. GEORGE LEPERE. She was born April 11, 1858, near Belleville, St Clair Co, IL.
 
Mrs. Heisner was a member of St Paul's Evangelical Church.
 
For many months she was bedbound and suffered intensely, yet she was patient and cheerfully born her Cross.
 
She leaves to mourn, her husband, who has been all to her that the word husband implies, the sons, ADAM, JOHN, and CHARLES, of Pinckneyville. Six grandchildren, five sisters and three brothers, namely: MRS. CATHERINE HEISNER of Grand Chain, IL; MRS. ELIZABETH WEATHERFORD, Pinckneyville; MRS. CAROLINE SCHWARTZKOPH, Pinckneyville; FRED LEPERE, of near Ava, and GEORGE LEPERE, East St Louis and PETER LEPERE, Denver, Colo.
 
Funeral services were conducted February 14, at Galum Church, REV. A. FRIZ of the Evangelical Church officiating.
 
Interment at the Galum Cemetery.

MRS. CHAS. HEISNER DIED LAST MONDAY

 
Mary Eva, wife of Charles Heisner Sr., died at her home south of Pinckneyville, at 1:45 P.M. Monday September 12, 1923, after a long and painful illness at the age of 64 years 10 months and 1 day.
 
Mrs. Heisner was born near Belleville, St. Clair county, Illinois, April11th 1858, and was the daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. George Lepere. She leaves to mourn her departure a husband, three sons, Adam, John and Chares of this city, one daughter having preceded her to the Great Beyond. There also survives six grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Catherine Heisner of Grand Chain, Ill., Mrs. Elizabeth Weatherford and Mrs. Caroline Schwartzkopf of Pinckneyville. The three brothers are Fred of near Ava, George of East St. Louis, Ill, and Peter Lepere of Denver, Colo. She was a faithful member of St. Paul's Evangelical church of a cheerful disposition and always tried to look on the bright side of life and when suffering intense pain her pleasant disposition won her host of friends, who in turn tried to make her life more comfortable.
 
The funeral was carried out according to her wishes, as she had made arrangements during her illness two of the requests were: that she be drawn to the cemetery by horses and that her favorite song be sung at her funeral-Jesus Lover of My Soul.
 
This good wife, loving mother and friend will be really missed in th family circle, and by her many relatives and hosts of friends.
 
The funeral services were held at the Galum church at 1:00 o'clock on Wednesday afternoon. Interment in the Galum cemetery, conducted by her pastor, Rev. Friz.
