Died: February 14, 1904 at 10:30 p.m. Age 22 years, 6 months and 15 days.             (died in child-birth or shortly after) Siblings:       Pearle (nee Redfern) Miller/Logan,       Ethel Maude (nee Redfern) Burnett Daughter of Valentine & Rosalie Florence McClurken       Florence Beryl McClurken       Born: February 14, 1904 and Died: April, 1946             Florence Beryl married Gene Anthes and             moved to Bakersfield, California.             She had one daughter, Victoria.

McCLURKEN-REDFERN Popular Young Couple Married in This City On Saturday morning Mr. Valentine McClurken and Miss Florence Redfern were married at the home of Mr and Mrs Wayne Logan in this city, Esq. J.H. Davis, officiating. The groom is a son of Mrs Ruth McClurken and is a member of Bridge Carpenter Eli Wilkinson's force and is well and favorably known. His bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Redfern and until recently taught school in Washington County. No couple ever started out with better prospects for a happy married life than Mr. and Mrs. McClurken.

DIED Roselia Florence Redfern was born August 29, 1881. Was married to Valentine McClurken June 13, 1903, in the city of Pinckneyville. Mrs McClurken died at the family home in this city at 10:30, p.m. February 14, 1904, aged 22 years 6 months and 15 days. She was highly esteemed by her numerous friends who are left to mourn her untimely death. Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 16, 1904. The deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allen S. Redfern who moved to this city from Nashville, ILL, about two years ago. She leaves a loving father, and mother, a kind husband, Valentine McClurken, an infant baby girl, Florence Beryl, and two sisters, Misses Maude and Pearl Redfern, of the immediate family, besides a host of relatives and friends, to mourn her loss. She had an excellent education being a graduate of the Nashville, ILL High School and a student of the Chicago schools for some time and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Nashville. She was always quite popular in Sunday School and was a member of the church choir. She had many friends in Nashville whom she desired to have attend her funeral and many of them showed their last respects to the young mother by attending the sad funeral which was preached by Rev J.B. Webb. Those present from Nashville were: Mr and Mrs Isaac Reidelberger, William Reidelberger, Mesdames Ed, Breunecke, and Ira Hendrix and Misses Ruth Hinton and Alice Winfree, daughter of Sheriff Winfree of Washington, Co. The remains were laid to rest in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
