      BEULAH M. (Booker) ANDERSON - 101, of Sterling, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007, at Sterling Pavilion. She was employed by Coast to Coast Hardware for several years. Mrs. Anderson was born on Aug. 3, 1906, in DuQuoin, the daughter of Charles and Emma (Lybarger) Booker. She married Gerald Anderson on Oct. 6, 1928, in DuQuoin. He preceded her in death in April 1965. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Ruth Circle, Sterling. She had been a volunteer in the gift shop at CGH, Meals on Wheels, FISH and at the United Women's Thrift Shop. She loved to paint with oils and also painted many stepping stones.
 
      Survivors include a daughter, Jane (Edwin) Gee of Sterling; two sons, Jack (Linda) Anderson, of Eldorado, Calif., and Tom (Norma) Anderson, of Lansing; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Anderson, of Royal Oaks, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and a niece, Billie Jo Bryant, of Stafford, Va. She also was preceded in death by a son, Gene Anderson; and a nephew, James Booker.
 
      The funeral is at 11 a.m. Thursday at Schilling Funeral Home, with the Rev. Christine Gilbert officiating. Burial is at 10 a.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Park, DuQuoin. Visitation is from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to First Untied Methodist Church, Sterling.
