Julius Asbridge

Set services for Julius Asbridge

      Julius Asbridge, 90, of 900 West Sylvia Street, Christopher, died Thursday, November 3, 1982 at Herrin Hospital.

      Mr. Asbridge was a retired coal miner, and was a veteran of U. S. Army service during World War I. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Christopher and the United Mine Workers of America.

      He is survived by two children, Ella Asbridge, Christopher and J. B. Asbridge, Martin City, Montana.

      He also leaves five grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Morse, Harrisburg and three brothers, James C. Asbridge, Yucipi, Calif., Clyde William Asbridge, Valley Center, Calif., and Elmer K. Asbridge, Kansas City, Mo.

      His wife, Anna Robert Asbridge, died March 3, 1974, and he was also preceded in death by his parents, Iachariah and Dora Selden Asbridge.

      Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Gilbert Funeral Home in Christopher.

      The Reverend W. D. Berry will officiate.

      Interment will be in Old DuQuoin Cemetery.

      Visitation at the funeral home will be after 6 p.m. Sunday.
