CUTLER - Alice L. Bauersachs, 89, died at 12:14 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 1997, in Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church, with Kevin Carrothers and Rev. Wesley Henson officiating. Burial will be in the Cutler Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Friday at McDaniel Funeral Home in Percy, and from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Memorials may be made to the church. Mrs. Bauersachs taught for 35 years in the Cutler area. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Retired Teachers Association and Cutler Senior Citizens. She was born December 26, 1907, in Pinckneyville to Thomas Allen and Maggie Elizabeth Schwebel Armstrong. She married Rudolph John Bauersachs on June 15, 1935 in Tilden. He preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Coleman of Percy and Melba Clendenin of Rockwood; one son, Larry Bauersachs of Lebanon, Tenn., one sister, Ethel Wiederbrach of Campbell Hill; one brother Roscoe Armstrong of Steeleville; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Her parents, one sister, one brother and one stepson, Dean, also preceded her in death.
