Pinckneyville -- Helen Mae Bigham, 57, Route 1 died at 8:16 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 1992, in the Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon.
Mrs. Bigham was born June 12, 1934, in Pinckneyville, the daughter of Leonard W. and Louise C. (Deitz) McKinstry. She was a beautician for many years, a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, and the Women's Missionary Union. She married Robert D. Bigham on August 11, 1973, in Pinckneyville and he survives. Other survivors include four brothers, Leonard and George, both of Pinckneyville, Bert of Danville, Ind., and Floyd of Barnhart, MO.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one niece, Gayle McKinstry. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 14, 1992, in the Oak Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Tim Beard and the Rev. Shaw DeMent officiating. Interment will be in the Cottom Cemetery, Denmark. Friends may call Monday from 4:30 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
