Dies Thursday At His Home Billie Dean Davis, Sr., 52, died Thursday ,August 14, at 4:25 p.m., at his home, 106 South Wells St. Born in Scottsboro, Ill., October 1, 1933, he was the son of the late George and Norma (Corder) Davis. A retired machine operator for Turco Mfg., he was a 45-year resident of the community and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are a daughter, Darlene K. Hamburger of Du Quoin; a son, Billie Deans Davis, Jr. of Du Quoin; a stepdaughter, Sarah Queen of Du Quoin; thre stepsons, Thomas Queen, serving with the Navy in San Diego, Andrew Queen, Great lakes naval Base and Mark Queen of Du Quoin; one sister, Pauline Lively of Du Quoin; three brothers, John Hester of Du Quoin, Ray Davis of Colorado, and James A. Davis of Tamaroa; two grandchildren. Besides his parents, two sisters and three brothers preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held Saturday, at 1 p.m., at Neal Memorial Chapel with interment in Old Du Quoin Cemetery. Visitation is at the funeral home after 6. p.m., Friday.
