DOWELL- the funeral of James Riley Dunmyer, 52, of Dowell, will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Gospel Assembly Church, Elkville, where he was a member. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at Searby Funeral Home, Du Quoin, and from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in the Old Du Quoin Cemetery. Mr. Dunmyer was retired from a trucking firm. He died Tuesday, July 30, 1985, in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. He was born March 31, 1933, in Du Quoin to Frank and Nancy Devor Dunmyer. He married Phyllis June Ridgeway on Feb. 28, 1964, in Du Quoin. Survivors include six daughters, Leanna Dunmyer, Stonington, Deborah, Karen and Sarah Dunmyer, all of Dowell, Jan Halliday, Price, Utah, and Cynthia Tartan, Chicago; six sons, James Dunmyer, Jr. and Douglas Dunmyer, both of Elkville, William Irvinf and Robert Irving, both of Du Quoin, David Dunmyer, Hallidaysboro, and Dale Dunmyer, Dowell; two sisters, Junetta Betts and Nancy Hackleman, both of Elkville; two brothers, Forest Dunmyer and Frank Dunmyer, both of Du Quoin; and 15 grandchildren.
