Marshall Browning Hospital Curtis William Gant, 70, of 701 East Park St., died Thursday, July 17, at 1:23 p.m., in the emegency room of Marshall Browning Hospital. Born in Sunfield, April 3, 1916, he was the son of the late Curtis Benjamin and Minnie (Morris) Gant. On March 31, 1937, in Perry County, he married Anna Krmitzski who survives. A resident of the community for years, he was a general laborer and farmer and a member of the Sunfield Baptist Church. Besides his widow, other survivors are two sons, John C. Gant and Ray C. Gant of Du Quoin; two sisters, Mrs. John (Lois) Farthing of Tamaroa and Mrs. herman (Doris) Poe of Mulkeytown; two brothers, Wesley Gant and Arthur Gant of Du Quoin; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, at 2 p.m., at Neal Memorial Chapel with interment in Old Du Quoin Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Boyett. Visitation is at the funeral home after 6 p.m., today and on Saturday until time of service.
