Dies Thursday In
Marshall Browning

      Dedrich Herbert Hamburger, 73, of 1028 E. South St., died Thursday at 4:05 p.m. in marshall Browning Hospital.

      Born in Du Quoin Dec. 10, 1907, he was the son of the late Frank and Martha (Jones) Hamburger. On March 27, 1929 in Du Quoin, he maried Thelma Morrisey who survives. A lifetime resident, he was a member of the Gospel Assembly Church. Before retirement he was employed as custodian at Fair Acres Nursing Home.

      Besides his widow, other survivors are a daughter, Esther King of Du Quoin; three sons, Wayne Hamburger of Springfield and William and Galen Hamburger of Du Quoin; one brother, Clifford Hamburger of Du Quoin; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

      In addition to his parents, one sister preceded him in death.

      Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Gospel Assembly Church with Rev. Beryl Clark officiating. Interment will be in Old Du Quoin Cemetery.

      Visitation is at Neal Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Saturday and on Sunday until 9:30 a.m. until time of service.

 

Dedrich Herbert Hamberger

      Dedrich Herbert Hamberger, 73, of 1028 E. South St. in Du Quoin, died Thursday, June 25, 1981 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin, after a ten-year illness.

      He was a lifetime resident of Du Quoin, a member of the Gospel Assembly Church, and served as custodian at the Fair Acres Nursing Home before his retirement.

      He was born in Du Quoin on Dec. 10, 1907 to Frank and Martha Jones Hamberger.

      He married Thelma Morrisey in Du Quoin on March 7, 1929.

      Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Esther King of Du Quoin; three sons, Wayne of Springfield, William and Galen both of Du Quoin; one brother, Clifford of Du Quoin; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

      One sister preceded him in death.

      Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Gospel Assembly Church in Du Quoin, with burial in the Old Du Quoin Cemetery.

      Friends may call at the Neal Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Saturday until 9:30 a.m. Sunday, and thereafter at the church until the hour of service.
