Carl B. Harrison, 76, died December 13, 1988 in Pinckneyville Community Hospital

      He was born September 11, 1912 in Waltonville to Richard and Mary Baker Harrison. He married Carrie Benedict in 1935. She survives.

      He was a retired coal miner and a member of the United Mine Workers Local 9905.

      Other survivors include two sons, Richard of Coulterville and Nelson of Shelbyville, KY; three daughters, Dorris Edwards of Swanwick, Donna Kuhnert of Pinckneyville and Geneva Mossa of Columbus, OH; one sister Pearl Simpkins of St Elmo; 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, three sisters and one grandchild preceded him in death.

      Services were Thursday at 1 p.m. in Pyatt Funeral Home in Pinckneyville with Rev. David Guthrie officiating, with burial in Bethel Cemetery, Swanwick.
