Well Known Fur Buyer Passes Away.
William H. (Cap) Johnson well known 73 year old Du Quoin fur buyer, passed away at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Marshall Browning Hospital.
A life long resident of Du Quoin, the deceased had been in ill health for the past year.

He was born in Du Quoin on December 12, 1876, a son of the late James J. and Nancy Jane Johnson. For the past eight months he has resided with his cousin, Robert S. Shook, Jr. in that community. One sister Anna Jane Danberry, and two brothers John T. and Charles C. Johnson preceded him in death.

Johnson attended the First Presbyterian Church and was one of this cities better known political prognosticators.

Services will be conducted from Schroeder Funeral Home at 3:30 pm. Tuesday by Rev. J.H. Mouthe, pastor of the First Evangelical and Reformed Church.

Burial will be in the Old Du Quoin Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home.
