Fred W. Luthy, 60, a farmer of near Swanwick, died at St Andrew's Hospital in Murphysboro on Wednesday of last week after a short illness. Mr. Luthy, son of Elile and Julia Luthy, was born near Campbell Hill on August 4, 1886. On August 9, 1911, he was married to Miss Elizabeth Stoffel of Campbell Hill and to this union was born one son, Howard of Swanwick. The wife and son, together with three brothers, Ed of Baldwin, John of Sparta and Joe of Campbell Hill; one sister, Mrs. Violet Benefit, and six grandchildren survive. Early in life Mr. Luthy united with the Baptist Church at Campbell Hill and lived a consistant Christian life. After his marriage he resided on a farm near Denmark but since 1942 had lived near Swanwick. Buried at the Swanwick Cemetery.
