Helen B. McIntyre Monteith, 99, of Swanwick, passed away Friday, September 20, 1996 at Sparta Community Hospital. She was a member of Swanwick United Presbyterian Church, the order of the Eastern Star of Steeleville and Swanwick Sewing Club. She was born January 20, 1897 in Lost Prairie to William L. and Martha J. Robb Blair. She married Clyde G. McIntyre. He preceded her in death in 1957. She married C. E. Monteith. He also preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Claude Edward and Geneiva McIntyre of Swanwick and Marshall Gramm and Helen McIntyre of North Canton, Ohio; one daughter-in-law, Joyce McIntyre of Swanwick; one brother and sister-in-law, George R. and Floy Blair of Cutler; 6 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Blair McIntyre, two brothers, two sisters and two great-grandchildren. Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 23, 1996 at Swanwick United Presbyterian Church with Rev. J. Vernon Berneking and Rev. Tim McIntyre officiating. Burial was in Cutler Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Cutler Cemetery Association. Pyatt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
