Ruby Pearl Robinson, widow of Freeman Robinson, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away at the Skilled Care Unit of Pinckneyville Community Hospital on February 1, 1993, at the age of 83 years. She had been in failing health for the past several months. Mrs. Robinson was born in Perry County, Illinois on September 3, 1909, the daughter of Edward and Elsie (Cottom) Russell. She was united in marriage in Pinckneyville on Feb. 3, 1927, to Freeman Robinson, and to this union was born one daughter. She was preceded in death by her husband on May 23, 1984, and her parents, and two brothers, Homer Russell and Walter Russell. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. JoAnn Templeton and her husband, William C., of Pinckneyville, Illinois; two granddaughters, Florine Epplin of Vandalia, Illinois, and Janice Haschemeyer of Golden, Illinois; four great-granddaughters, Julienne, Nicole, Kristina and Jacquelyn; and one sister-in-law, Alice Green of Ava, Illinois. Mrs. Robinson was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church and the Pinckneyville Women's Club. She was a seamstress and retired from the Garment Factory. Funeral services will be held at the First United Presbyterian Church on Thursday, February 4, 1993, at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. Byron York officiating, with interment in the Galum Presbyterian Cemetery, with Pyatt Funeral Home in charge. Memorials may be made to the First United Presbyterian Church memorial fund. Friends may call at the Pyatt Funeral Home today from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday at the church from 8:30 a.m. until services.
