Obituary of Hiley M. Webb

Hiley Webb Mulkeytown Dies at 100 Hiley M. Webb, one of Franklin County's oldest residents, died Monday at the Herrin Hospital. Mr. Webb of Mulkeytown would have been 101 years old in a few days. He was a retired farmer, and a member of the Mulkeytown Christian Church. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Johnson Webb, two children, Howard Webb and Maude Hertel both of Mulkeytown; two grandchildren, Norman Biby, Mulkeytown and Dorothy Davis, O'Fallon MO., eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Jacob and Frances Hinkley Webb, one sister, and three brothers. Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Gilbert Funeral Home in Christopher. The Rev. Norman Toney will officiate. Internment will be in Old Du Quoin Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be after 5 p.m,. Wednesday.
