Mrs. Rushing, mother of Robert Rushing, late cashier of Murphy, Wall & Co's bank, and widow of Joel Rushing, deceased, father of E. B. Rushing, died at the residence of her son, in this place, on last Tuesday. Her remains were taken to the family burying ground in Grand Cote Prairie, for interment. W. S. D. Smith conducted the funeral ceremonies. Mrs. Rushing had attained the ripe old age of 73, and was beloved and respected by all who knew her.
