BELOVED LADY DIES IN NEW YORK AT THE AGE OF 81
Mrs. Caroline Schaub was born on May 10, 1843 in Mauer,
Germany, and died at the home of her son, G.A. Schaub,
400 Barrington St., Rochester, New York, on Tuesday,
August 12, 1924, age 81 years, 3 months and 2 days.
Her husband, August Schaub, preceded her in death
16 years ago.
The following children survive: Gus A. Schaub of Rochester,
New York; Henry Schaub, Mrs. Fred Wild and Mrs. John Kanzler,
of Pinkneyville.
"Grandma" Schaub was a consciencious Christian, ever
bearing testimony to that fact in her daily walk of life.
She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Church for
over fifty years. Some of the happiest moments were
spent in doing good for others. She was loved by all
who knew her.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. A. Fritz
at the St. Paul's Evangelical church Friday morning,
August 15, 1924. Interment in Mueller Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Caroline Schaub last Friday were. Mr. and Mrs.
Gus Schaub, of Rochester, New York; Mr. and Mrs.
Roy Alexander and sons, of Hurst, Mr and Mrs. John
Wild of Marion; Mr. and Mrs. J. Beardon, Mr. and
Mrs. Fred Wild and children of Carbondale; Mr. and
Mrs. H. Piltz and children of Murphysboro, and
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Zoller, of Vergennes.
