'A former resident of our city, and for a number of years serving as Deputy Sheriff of Perry
County, died at Marion, Tuesday.
Burial occurred from his late home in Pickneyville.
A number of relatives and friends from our city attended the funeral.
Deceased was the father of Mrs. J. A. Griffin, of Du Quoin.'
