Mrs. Rebecca Wilson Dies in St. Louis

Mrs. Rebecca M. Wilson

Mrs. Rebecca M. Wilson, nee Anderson, died Tuesday morning at 4:20 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bert Renner, in St. Louis, aged 73 years 9 months and 22 days.

Deceased was born in County Londonderry, Ireland, as the daughter of James Anderson and wife, Mary, on May 2_, 1842, and twelve years later came to this country with her parents who settled in Perry county ten miles south of Nashville. In 1867 she was married in Perry county to Henry Wilson and resided in Pilot Knob township till the death of her husband in 18_1, when she removed to Perry county and later made her home with her children. She was a loving wife and mother and earnest Christian, respected and beloved by all who knew her. Of her seven children, two have passed away, Sarah and Mrs. Rebecca McClurkin. The loss of a beloved mother and sister is mourned by five children: Margaret (Mrs. A.O. Jones), James of Nashville, William and Harry of Coulterville and Mrs. Bert Renner of St. Louis, two brothers, William B. and Crawford, and a sister, Miss Dora Anderson, all of this city, and nineteen grandchildren.

The remains were brought to Nashville Wednesday night and funeral services were held today at Oak Grove church, Rev. H.G. Dusenberry officiating. Interment was made in the adjacent cemetery.
