Kenney & Clark, the largest firm in Griggsville, established themselves in general merchandising in 1864, succeeding Mr. Charles Kenney. They carry a general stock of dry goods, clothing, boots and shoes, groceries, queensware, hats and caps, carpets, etc., etc., amounting to a stock of over $20,000. Mr. Clark's father, John Clark, was an early settler in Ogle Co., Ill., having located there about the year 1830, and came to this county in 1857, where he died in 1872.
