1820 06 Apr 1873 John Lapp Census records show her birthplace as Virginia. 1870 census shows her to be a widow living in Pleasant Hill Township, and her daughter, Ellen Kinman, age 18, lives with her.

This view shows the back side of Charles' stone.
It is still standing after 150 years!
To the right is his mother's grave stone and
at one time his father's was on the other side of hers.
Eventually, the father's grave stone started
sliding down the side of the embankment, and was placed flat on the ground above it.
The base is visible half way up the embankment.
