Heastone Photos by Nancy Shaner Mahala was the wife of Abraham Carrel. Mahala Gooding/Gooden was born 1818 in Ohio. They were married in October 1, 1839 Morgan County Ohio. Abraham was born 1818 in Ohio. Abraham died after the 1855 state census. Mahala died April 14, 1857. They had children, Delilah Jane, Henry, George, Silas, Joseph, Moses, Mary Emma and Mahala. It is not proven yet but is thought that Abraham was the son of Joseph Carrel’s brother Henry. Silas J. Carrel born May 1847 in Ohio. Married Dicey F. Clough January 5, 1871. She was the daughter of Mark Clough and Elizabeth Mary Bartlett. He was the son of Abraham and Mahala Gooding Carrel. Their children were, Etta Fay, Nettie, and Elmer.
