—This Church was organized over 40 years ago, and although we worked assiduously to obtain its history, as well as that of the other M. E. Church, we fail to receive very much satisfactory information. The present church edifice of the Akers Society, which was the second one erected, was built in 1868-9. It is constructed of brick, and cost about $5,500. |
