BETTY (SENIFF) FEATHER
, 80, of Houston, Texas, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009, peacefully and in the company of loved ones.
Betty was born Jan. 21, 1929 in Pittsfield, to Wayne and Ila Seniff. The family moved to Houston in 1943. She graduated from Reagan High School, and married high school sweetheart and dance partner Joe Lee, with whom she had a daughter, Sandy, and a son, Mike. She later remarried to John Feather and became mother to his children Judy, Peggy, Lillian and John. Betty and John were very happy and shared many good years together.
She enjoyed playing golf, traveling, and volunteering at St. Luke's Hospital and The Sunshine Shop, but her real joy in life was time spent with family and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by son Philip Michael Lee, husband John Feather, and brother Jack Seniff.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Lee Lucas; grandson, Peter Lucas; granddaughter Jennifer Wallace, sisters Sue Liccioni and Pat Grizzaffi, sister-in-law, Mary Ann Seniff; former daughter-in- law, Pamela Wallace; as well as much loved nieces, nephews and an extended family of friends.
Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway Houston, TX 77079. Funeral services followed Saturday, 10 a.m in the funeral home Chapel with Lynn Hargrove of St. Gile's Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment concluded in Memorial Oaks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association .
RAYMOND P. FEIGERLE
, 76 of Pittsfield , passed away, Monday December 21, 2009 at Illini Community Hospital in Pittsfield . He was born March 4, 1933 in Joliet , IL , a son of Albert and Lucille Page Feigerle. He married Joanne Elizabeth Rutherford on June 16, 1962 and she preceded him in death on October 26, 1981.
Raymond was a veteran of the United States Army and graduated from Illinois State University at Normal . He was a music and band teacher for the elementary and high school at East Pike High School in Milton , IL , Pittsfield Pikeland Unit #10, Higbee Junior High and East School . He was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the American Legion and enjoyed stamp and coin collecting, jazz music and his pets, Frankie and Minnie.
He is survived by three daughters, Elaine (Bruce) Allen of McKinney, TX; Pamela (Michael) DeLucas of Marseilles, IL; and Sandra Lindsey of Keller , TX . Four grandchildren survive, Anthony DeLucas, Joni DeLucas, and Paige and Samantha Lindsey. One brother, Albert Feigerle Jr. of Joliet , IL also survives.
A mass of resurrection will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 23 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pittsfield , IL with Father Rodney Schwartz celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Pittsfield , IL with military rites being accorded by the Pittsfield American Legion Post #152. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
MARJORIE A. (DURR) FELLER
, 91, of Pittsfield died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, at Liberty Village of Pittsfield.
She was born March 16, 1917 in Pittsfield to Robert A. and L. Fern Norton Durr. She married Albert "Al" Feller Dec.28, 1928 in Hardin and he preceded her in death Aug. 6, 1994.
Survivors a nephew, Robert (Cindy) Spangenberg of Pittsfield; three nieces, Mrs. Paula (David) Harper of Vicksburg, Mich., Mrs. Carole (Donald) Dickinson of Alice, Texas and Mrs. Mary (Travis) Jones of Pittsfield. She was preceded in death by a brother, Leland Durr in 1942; a sister, Virginia Spangenberg in 2005; a great nephew, Donald Spangenberg; and a great great niece, Kourtney Jones; and a special friend, Phil Williams.
Funeral services were Saturday, Dec. 6, at 11 a.m. at the Niebur Funeral Home, Pittsfield, with Rev. Jim Bormann officiating. Burial was at the West Cemetery, Pittsfield. A dinner will be at the Independence Christian Church after the services. Visitation was held Saturday, Dec. 6, from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. at the Niebur Funeral Home, Pittsfield. Memorials are to the West Cemetery.

ELIZABETH (FAST) FELOWS
, was taken very ill on Sunday, August 3rd, with bowel trouble and a surgical operation seeming necessary was taken to Quincy, Friday morning, where, at St. Mary's Hospital, the operation was performed. Mrs. Felows died on Friday night. Undertaker Charles Lowery went to Quincy, Saturday, bringing the body to the home of the decedent's brother, Mark Fast, in this place, on Saturday night. Sunday morning a brief funeral service was held, Elder T. J. Kellar of the Christian Church officiating. The remains were taken to the Rowley Cemetery for burial. The decedent is survived by one son, three brothers and five sisters. Two brothers, Mark and George Fast, reside in this place (Rockport).
WILLIAM WAYNE FENNELL
of Phoenix, AZ., formerly of rural Barry, IL died Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at the Terraces Nursing Home in Phoenix at the age of 94. He was born November 12, 1910 to William G. Fennell and Mary Ann O'Leary Fennell. He graduated in 1937 from University of Illinois in agricultural engineering. In 1941 he married Cecelia L. Shoaff of Shelbyville, IL and she preceded him in death. Mr. Fennell worked for 30 years for Farmers Home Administration, mostly in the Pike and Adams County areas. He was a World War II Veteran, serving four years in the U.S. Coast Guard. Mr. Fennell was a founding member of the Holy Redeemer Church in Barry, IL.
Survivors include a son James Fennell of St. Louis, and a daughter Susan Tierney of Phoenix, a son-in-law William Birdsall of Naples and two daughters-in-law: Linda Fennell of Quincy, IL and Susan Fennell of Kenosha, WI. Eight grandchildren and one great grandchild along with two sisters Frances Putman of Canton, IL and Helen Young of Ft. Meyers, FL and several nieces and nephews also survive. Mr. Fennell was preceded in death by his daughter Patricia Birdsall, a son William Gregory Fennell and a sister Dorothy Fennell.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 6, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Park Lawn Cemetery in Barry with Fr. Rodney Swartz officiating. A luncheon will be served at the Holy Redeemer Hall following the services. Visitation will be held Sunday evening, May 5, 2005 from 5-7 p.m. at the Niebur Funeral Chapel in Barry, IL. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
D. KENDRICK FESLER
, 76 of rural Barry, died Monday(9/11/06) at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. Born Aug.26,1930 in Derry Twp. In Pike County, he was a son of Harry A. and Anna E. Harshman Fesler and lived his entire life in Derry Twp. He married Betty Hart Aug.11,1950 in Palmyra, MO. and she survives. Kendrick was a grain and livestock farmer in Derry Twp. For over 50 years. He enjoyed his family, bowling and traveling. He was a past 4-H leader, had been Sunday School Superintendent at the ElDara United Methodist Church where he was a member, he served on the Pike County Farm Bureau Board of Directord, past president of the Pike County Pork Producers and a director of the State Pork Producers Assn., served as president of the Pike County Extension Council and the Western Illinois FBFM Board. He was a fifty year member of ElDara Lodge #388,A.F.& A.M. and Quincy Consistory and involved in many community activities.
Survivors: his wife Betty of Barry, son Roger Fesler of Barry, three daughters, Mrs. Sandra(Bob) Hager of Bowling Green, MO., Mrs. Carolyn (Reggie) Carr of Barry and Mrs. Janet(Joe) Martin of Barry, fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded by two brothers Elden and Ellis Fesler and a sister in infancy.
Funeral services will be Thursday, September 14, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield with Rev. Nancy Monahan officiating. Burial will be at Pittsfield West Cemetery. Friends may call at Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 from 4 till 8 p.m
DALE FESLER
, 87 of New Canton died Tues. Dec 23, 2008, in the Barry Community Care Center.
He was born April 13,1921 on the family farm near Barry, a son of Dock and Nellie (Godfrey) Fesler. Nov. 8,1952 he married Dorothy Ellsworth in Arkansas, she survives in New Canton.
He is also survived by two sons, Richard Fesler and his wife, Martha of Quincy and Roger Fesler and his wife, Linda of Kinderhook; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
Dale enjoyed traveling, gardening and collecting historical memorabilia. When not pursuing his hobbies he loved to spend time visiting with his many friends.
Graveside services will be held Friday. Jan. 2, 2009 in Shearer Cemetery in New Canton. There is no visitation
J. ELLEN FESLER
, 78, of Pittsfield, died at 8:20 a.m. Thursday (Dec. 15, 1994) in her home.
Born Jan. 18, 1916, in Adams County near Barry, Mrs. Fesler was a daughter of David C. and Myrtle Starks Parrack. She married Elden Fesler Dec. 26, 1933, in Quincy. He survives.
Mrs. Fesler was a 1934 graduate of Barry High School and had worked as a bookkeeper and secretary for G&W Furniture and Benson Motors in Pittsfield and for the U.S. Census Bureau.
Mrs. Fesler was a member of Pittsfield United Methodist Church where she was church secretary and was a member of the Old Orchard Country Club.
Survivors also include a daughter, Mrs. Irvin (Carol) Todd of Jacksonville; a son, Marvin "Pedro" of Houston; a sister, Edith Harrison of Barry, a brother, Darrell Parrack of Moberly, Mo.; and three grandchildren, Blair Fesler of Houston, and Michael and Matthew Todd, both of Jacksonville.
Mrs. Fesler was preceded in death by a son, Richard Jerome Fesler; and a brother, Benjamin Edward "Ted" Parrack.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Pittsfield United Methodist Church by the Rev. John K. McIntosh. Burial will be in Pittsfield West Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. Saturday in the Niebur Funeral Elome and from noon Sunday until time of services in the church. The family will meet friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday in the Niebur Fuieral Home in Pittsfield.
Memorials may be made to Pike County Hospice.
DOROTHY I. FESLER
, 94, of New Canton, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010, at the Barry Community Care Center in Barry. She was born Dec. 27, 1915, in Levee Township, Hull, to Cloyd and Zelma (Kund) Ellsworth. They preceeded her in death.
She married Dale Fesler on November 8, 1952, in Arkansas. He preceeded her in death on December 23, 2008. She is survived by 2 sons: Richard Fesler & his wife Martha, of Quincy and Roger Fesler & his wife, Linda, of Kinderhook, Illinois.
She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by 1 brother and 1 sister.
Dorothy and her husband enjoyed traveling, reading and vacationing in Montana. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 30, 2010, at Shearer Cemetery, New Canton, Illinois.
There is no visitation. Burial will be in Shearer Cemetery, New Canton, Illinois. Memorials are suggested to the Barry Community Care Center Activity Fund. Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry in charge of arrangements.
EDNA (RIGG) FORD
, 96 of Barry, passed away at 12:44 p.m. Mon., Dec. 8, 2008 in Blessing Hospital in Quincy.
Born on Oct. 2, 1912 in Fishhook, she was a daughter of Fred & Ada (Cooley) Rigg. They preceded her in death. She married Truman Ford in 1939 in the Ozarks. He died on May 9, 1982.
Survivors include a son, George Ford, of Barry; a daughter, Mrs. David (Ada) Bowen, of Quincy; 2 grandchildren, Laura Deppmeier & husband, Brad of Johnsburg, IL, and Keith Bowen, of Quincy; and a brother, Rex
Rigg, of Taylorville.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Snyder; and 3 brothers, Dale Rigg, Merle Rigg, and an infant brother.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Thurs. at Park Lawn Cemetery in Barry. Burial was in Park Lawn Cemetery. There was no visitation.
Memorials are suggested to the Barry Community Care Center Activity Fund.

AVERY LEWIS FORD
, 65, a Nebo native, died unexpectedly July 20, 1982 in a hotel room at Stockton, Calif. Graveside services were held Saturday, July 24 at Crescent Heights cemetery, Pleasant Hill, with Brother Wayne Guthrie officiating. Ward-Lummis Funeral Home handled local arrangements.
Born Oct. 16, 1916 at Nebo, Mr Ford was a son of Lewis and Leona Kinkade Ford. He married Ireta Swett.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs Leona (Ford) Howdeshell of Nebo; two sons, Larry of Durant, Okla. and Jerry of St. Charles; a daughter, Mrs John (Nancy) Fiebelkorn of Mound, Minn.; one sister, Mrs Rosalee Kingen of Ozark, Mo. and six grandchildren.
BURWELL FORD
, 66, of St. Louis, Mo., formerly of the Pleasant Hill-Nebo area, died at 7:20 p. m, Sunday (Aug. 12, 1984) in Jefferson Barracks in St. Louis, following an extended illness.
Mr. Ford was born in Nebo, „flay 7, 1918, a son of Harley M. and Verna Guthrie Ford. He married Marcie Johnson in St. Louis in 1947. She survives.
Mr. Ford was a veteran of World War II. Also surviving are hiS stepmother, Mrs. Celia Ford of White Hall; a son, Aaron of Arnold, Mo.; and a brother, Dorman Ford of Latham.
Services were held at 11 a. m. Wednesday in Ward-Lumrnis Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill, the Rev. James Martin and the Rev., Lowell Weaver conducting. Burial was in Crescent Heights Cemetery at Pleasant Hill.

WINNIE E. (JOHNSON) FORD
, 92, of Nebo died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1981 in the Jacksonville Convalescent Center. She had been ill for about one month.
Mrs. Ford was a homemaker and seamstress and had formerly taught school in Calhoun county.
Born March 15, 1889 in north Calhoun county, she was a daughter of Timothy and Hortensa Swaders Johnson. She married Clyde B. Ford in Pittsfield on July 4, 1913. He died Sept. 10, 1963.
Survivors include a son, Weybern Ford of Kansas City, Mo.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints at Pleasant Hill, of which Mrs Ford was a member. Burial was in Crescent Heights cemetery. Ward-Lummis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
BERTHA MAE (SUTTON) FORSHEY
, 72, of Barry passed away Thursday afternoon, July 21, 2005 at the Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. Mrs. Forshey was born May 12, 1933 at Kinderhook, IL to Harvey and Agatha Wagner Sutton. She married Kenneth "Chip" Forshey in Palmyra, MO. on March 2, 1957 and he survives.
Mrs. Forshey worked as a supervisor at Motorola in Quincy, retiring after 22 years there. She then ran a day care from her home until 1998. Bertha was a member of the Barry Church of Christ and was baptized there in 1946. She was the 1st recipient of the Senior Citizen's 'Golden Apple Award' given out by the Barry Apple Festival in 1998. Mrs. Forshey loved spending time with her family and her pride and joy were her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Many kids in Barry knew her as 'Grandma Bertha'. Bertha collected bird memorabilia and has an extensive collection of bird figurines that decorate her home.
Survivors include her husband Kenneth, three daughters Caroline (husband Donald) Wade of Barry, Kathy Johnson and good friend Chuck Lea of Barry and Larissa (husband Randy) Smith also of Barry, one brother Gene Sutton of Barry, nine grandchildren: Karen, Devin and Kari Wade, Tiffany Gordan, Kraig and Kirk Johnson and Troy, Trevin and Tanner Smith, six great grandchildren Konnor, Chloe, Alexus, Austin, Kolin and Kinsey. She was preceded by five brothers and one sister in infancy
Services will be held on Monday, July 25, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Niebur Funeral Chapel in Barry, IL with Carl Lucas and Jimmy Hodges officiating. Burial will be at the Park Lawn Cemetery.
KENNETH FORSHEY
, 83, of Barry died Monday, May 25, 2009, at the IL Veteran's Home in Quincy.
He was born July 20, 1925 in Barry, to Ulysses C. and Frances E. Lippincott Forshey. He married Bertha Mae Sutton March 2, 1957 in Palmyra, Mo and she preceded him in death July 21, 2005.
In his earlier years Chip worked as a plumber for O'Brian Plumbing in Barry and Brocksmith Plumbing in Quincy. He retired from Firestone Electric Wheel in Quincy where he operated as a forklift driver. He is a WWII Veteran serving in the Navy on the USNTC in Great Lakes, IL, the USS LST -3, the NOB in Norfolk, Va., the USS Sapphire and the USS Janssen. Chips greatest enjoyment was his family especially the time spent with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed running around town and going to the Cree-Mee on his scooter. He attended the Barry Church of Christ and was a member of the Barry American Legion Post 222. Chip was a local stockcar enthusiast and liked going to the races. He also enjoyed camping, country music and doing bodywork on cars.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Caroline (husband Donald) Wade, Kathy Johnson and special friend Chuck Lea and Mrs. Larissa (husband Randy) Smith, all of Barry; a sister, Marjorie Dixon of Barry; nine grandchildren, Karen Wade, Kevin (wife Jessica) Wade, Kari Wade, Tiffany Gordan, Kraig (special friend Tera Motley) Johnson, Kirk Johnson, Troy (wife Alicia) Smith, Trevin Smith and Tanner Smith; nine great-grandchildren also survive; Konnor Wade, Chloe, Alexus and Paxton Wade, Austin Gordan, Kolin Ferrel, Kinsey Johnson, Mason and Brayden Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Bertha; two brothers, Donald L. Forshey and Robert K. Forshey.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 am, Thursday, May 28, at Niebur Funeral Chapel in Barry with Jimmy Hodges officiating. Visitation was held Wednesday evening from 5 - 8 at the funeral home. Burial was at Park Lawn Cemetery following the service with graveside military rites conducted by the Barry American Legion Post 222. Memorials are suggested to the Blessing Dialysis Unit or Barry American Legion Post .222.
DONNA K. (HOOPER) FOSTER
, 57 of Pittsfield, died Friday, Jan. 16, 2009 at Illini Community Hospital in Pittsfield.
Donna was born March 14, 1951 in Colorado Springs, Colo., a daughter of Paul and Juanita McGlasson Hooper. She married Gary Foster May 22, 1970 and to that union was born a daughter Christina.
Donna was a member of the First Christian Church in Pittsfield., the Women of the Moose, she did volunteer work at the Pittsfield American Legion Post #152, she was a published poet and attended a poetry convention in New York City. Donna enjoyed playing cards with friends especially Rummy, and was an Elvis Pressley fan.
Donna was a licensed beautician, worked at the Heritage House in Pittsfield and at Reddy's Hide Away, worked as a CNA at Pittsfield Manor and was a private duty nurse to Alzheimer's patients.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Christina (husband Ricky) Collins of Pittsfield; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy (Roger) Yaeger of Pittsfield; three grandchildren, Christopher Foster and Carlee and Cody Collins, all of Pittsfield; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents and a sister Linda Heeman.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Jan. 20, at 10 a.m. at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield with Michael TenEyck officiating. Burial was at West Cemetery in Pittsfield. Visitation was held Monday, Jan. 19, from 4 untill 8 p.m. at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield.
NANCY LYNN FRASIER
, 54, of Pittsfield died Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at the St. John's Hospice in Springfield.
She was the daughter of Russell and Nancy C. Mc Donough Kelly born Nov. 12, 1954 in Memphis, Tenn. Nanci married Rick Frasier January 6, 1979 in Memphis and he survives.
She was a registered nurse and worked at the Eastside Nursing Home in Pittsfield, Beardstown Nursing Home and a hospital in Memphis. She attended the Pittsfield Church of Nazarene.
Survivors include her husband, Rick Frasier, Pittsfield; one son, Jacob Frasier, Pittsfield; two daughters, Amanda (Conel) Rogers, Carbondale and Bellamie Frasier, Griggsville; a step brother, Michael Price, Olive Branch, Miss.; two step sisters, Terri Price, Memphis and Pat Krezimoski, Houston, Texas; and seven grandchildren.
A visitation was held Friday, March 20, from 5-7 p.m. at the Niebur Funeral Home, Pittsfield. Cremation rites were accorded following visitation.

, of Pittsfield , IL passed away Sunday, April 18, 2010 at the Memorial Medical Center , Springfield , IL . She was born on October 25, 1947, in Alton , IL , a daughter to Joseph W. and Bernadine Hazelrigg Massey. She married Richard “Dickie” Six and later married Richard L. Frazier on April 2, 1983 in Winchester , IL .
Nancy was a licensed L.P.N. in Illinois and Missouri since 1972 and had worked in several area hospitals and nursing home facilities. She currently was employed as an L.P.N. for Favorite Corporation. She had owned and operated the Maple Crest Nursing Home in White Hall , IL . Nancy was baptized at the Griggsville Church of Christ, was a member of the Licensed Practical Nurses Association and the Old Orchard Country Club.
Her greatest pleasures were shopping, her pets, decorating for every holiday and special occasions along with entertaining, cooking and watching the cooking channels on TV, flower gardening, reading, and jazz, Scottish/Irish and Cajun music.
She is survived by her husband, Richard “Dick” Frazier, mother and step-father, Bernadine and Bud Lawber of Griggsville, sons, Scott (Carol) Six of Duncan, S.C., Todd (fiancé, Amy) Six of Yulle, FL., and daughter, Ricsha Frazier of Quincy , IL . Stepdaughters, Susan (Jeff) Shireman, Mary Kay (Dave) Webel both of Pittsfield, IL., Julie (Jerry) O’Brian of Ft. Branch, IN., stepson, Rick (Brandon, girlfriend) Frazier of Springfield, IL, two grandchildren, Sara and Tommy Six and two step grandchildren, Conner and Addy O’Brian also survive.
Sister, Mike (Christine) Denison of Griggsville, IL, two nieces, Tiphani (Matt) Gregory and Jaime Denison both of Pittsfield , IL and great niece and nephew Isaiah and Isabella survive.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 22, 2010 at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield with Mike Evans officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Pittsfield . A dinner for family and friends will be held at the St. Mary’s Parish Hall after the interment. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, April 21, 2010 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Niebur Funeral Home.
ELIZABETH (WILLIAMSON) FRIEND
, 91 of Escondido, Calif. died Wednesday, April 29, 2009, in California.
She was born July 9, 1917 in Pittsfield, a daughter of Gay and Salena Carnes Williamson. She married Joe Friend in Decatur, and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by one sister, Marguerite (Pete) Hunter of Pittsfield; a nephew, Gay (Carole) Williamson of Griggsville; four nieces, Greta Snow of Houston, Texas, Suzanne (Charles) Worthington, of Pittsfield, Rachel (Lawrence) Smith of Pittsfield and Janice (Peter) Eiseman of Scarsdale, N.Y.
She was preceded in death by her husband, six brothers, Presley Williamson, Mike Williamson, Orvey Williamson, Frank Williamson, William Henry(Henie) Williamson and George Williamson; four sisters, Leela Ikes, Gully Birdella Thompson, Helen Raymond, and Taletta Veith.
Cremation rites will be accorded per her wishes. Private graveside services will be held at Pittsfield West Cemetery at a later date
DONALD W. FROHN
, 74, of New Canton, Illinois, died, Monday, September 20, 2010 at his home. Graveside Services will be at 2:00 pm Friday, September 24, 2010 at Samuel Taylor Cemetery in Rockport, Illinois.
The James O'Donnell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Donald was born April 3, 1936, in Waterloo, Iowa to Thomas and Mildred Oliver Frohn.
He was married to Edna Harrison on November 23, 1963 in Hannibal, Missouri. She preceded him in death July 10, 2001.
Survivors include his Daughter, Dawn Gaspar, Granddaughter, Danielle Gaspar, one Niece, that he raised, Lisa Jameson, sister in law, Nancy Franklin, great nieces, Whitney Franklin and Jackie Miller.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister; Margaret Dyer and 2 brothers; Richard and Lloyd Frohn. Mr. Frohn was a farmer. He loved to fish and enjoyed being with his granddaughter and his dog. Donald attended the Community of Christ Church in New Canton, Illinois.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the James O'Donnell Funeral Home for funeral expenses. Pallbearers will be Eric Duncan, Marvin Duncan, Jon Franklin, Bill Billings, Tilly Foster, Kent Saxbury, and Randy Saxbury. Honorary pallbearers will be John Campbell and Robert Lockerman.
EDNA I. (HARRISON) FROHN
, 57, of New Canton, died Tuesday, July 10, 2001, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield. Mrs. Frohn was born Aug.. 5, 1943, in New Canton to Virgil W. and Lela Alice Martin Harrison. She was married to Donald W. Frohn on Nov. 23, 1963 in Oakwood. He survives. Other survivors include one daughter, Lela D. Gaspar of New Canton; two brothers, Virgil E. (Gene) Harrison of New Canton and David Harrison of Pleasant Hill; one sister, Nancy Franklin of Hannibal; and one grandchild, Lela Danielle Gaspar. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Frohn was a homemaker and a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 14, at the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in New Canton. Elder Bill Phillips officiated. Burial was in the Samuel Taylor Cemetery in Rockport. Pallbearers were Kent Saxbury, Randy Saxbury, Roger Bernard, John Megehe, Jerry Bailey, Phillip (Tilley) Foster, Fred Manning and Larry Winn. The James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal handled the arrangements.
EARL F. FRY
, 81, of Pittsfield , IL , formerly of New Canton, IL passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at the Eastside Healthcare & Rehab Center in Pittsfield . Earl was born in Ashland , IL on April 25, 1928, a son to Hubert R. and Ethel Watkins Fry. He married Wilma E. Cassen on February 24, 1953 in Petersburg , IL and she survives.
Earl was a grain and livestock farmer in the Pleasant Vale Township area in Pike County near New Canton, IL. He served in the Korea War where he earned the Korea Service Medal with three Battle Stars, a Purple Heart, UN Medal and an Over Seas Bar and Bronze Star. He was a member of the Pittsfield United Methodist Church , enjoyed country music shows and greatly enjoyed listening to his son Phillip play his fiddle.
His wife, Wilma and son Phillip, both of Pittsfield , survive him along with two grandchildren, Wayne Fry of Pittsfield and Amy Lawson of Kirksville , MO. One brother, Irving Fry of Petersburg , IL and two sisters, Shirley Chesser of Chandlerville , IL and Carolyn Miller of Naperville , IL also survive. A brother, Thomas in infancy, preceded him in death.
Services will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, March 26, 2010 at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield with Rev. Tom Wilber officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Niebur Funeral Home. Interment will be in the West Cemetery , Pittsfield , IL .
LEONA ALBERTA (McFADDEN) FULLER
, 91, 1802 Turtle Lake Road, died at 9:12 a.m., Tuesday, June 20, 2000 in the Brighton Pavilion. She was born February 22, 1909 in Rockport, Illinois, the daughter of Victor and Iva Lynch McFadden. On March 10, 1927, she married Alfred E. Fuller in Pittsfield, Illinois. He preceded her in death in 1967. She was of the Methodist faith. Survivors include a son, Alfred E. Fuller, Jr., Augsburg, Germany, 3 grandchildren 7 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She also was preceded in death by 1 son Carl Walker Fuller, 1 brother George E. McFadden and a sister, Lucille Kinne. Funeral Services will be, 10 a.m., Friday, June 23, 2000 at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, Rev. George Tomko officiating. Burial in Samuel Taylor Cemetery, Rockport, Illinois. Visitation will be at the time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to Charity of the donor’s choice.
RUBY E. (RHODES) FULLER
, 85, formerly of Rockport, died Monday, March 16, 2009, at the Barry Community Care Center in Bany.
She was born in Shrum, Mo. July 21, 1923, to Peter F. and Della C. Robbins Rhodes. She married Everett M. Fuller Sept. 16, 1966, and he preceded her in death Nov. 11, 1977.
Besides being a homemaker Ruby was a cook at the school in Rockport and also operated a restaurant in Rockport. She was a member of the Rockport Methodist Church and enjoyed quilting, baking Christmas cookies, gardening, making pickles, playing pitch and listening to county western music. She especially loved her family and spending time with them.
She is survived by three sons,
Dean (Joyce) Kirby and Don (Marsha) Kirby of Rockport and Ron (Caroline) Kirby of New Canton;
three brothers, Clayton, Charles (Leora) and Winfred (Carol) Rhodes all of Marble Hill, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. Anna Mae (Pearley) Irvin also of Marble Hill; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers, Robert, Paul and Delmer Rhodes and a brother
in infancy and a sister, Juanita Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Thursday, March 19, at the Niebur Funeral Chapel in Bany with Rev. Sheila Kelly officiating. Burial will be at the Samuel Taylor Cemetery near Rockport following the services. Visitation will be from 12:30 — 2 pm. prior to the services at the funeral chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Bany Community Care Center Activity Fund or the Blessing Hospice of Pike County. The Niebur Funeral Chapel in Bany is handling the arrangements.
