The Rupert home in Rockport built about 1840 by Dr Whiting. The house was occupied by Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Rupert.
and following his death his widow Mrs. Ellen L. Rupert and her step-son Deacon Rupert made it their home.
In the background the barn and the spire of the Methodist Episcopal .
