SHELLEY SCHOOL Griggsville, IL Contributed by Nancy Shaner We think the picture is from 1925/26. This is where Nancy's father went to school. The only people that we can really identify at this point are the first row, far left is Hazel Smith the fifth person/ 4th boy from left is Robert Smith, my father. We think this was his first grade year. Other names associated with this school are Riley, Tipsword, Dehart, Crawford, Sleight, Bennett, Capps. A teacher for my dad’s second grade was Annabelle Kopps Ramsey. He does not remember who was there for the first year. Apparently he liked Miss Kopps. We are am hoping someone can help us identify some of these children.
