Information from Wilma E. Shewhart
The child 4th from the left in the middle row is my sister-in-law Lorna Maye Shewhart.
Lorna's 1st cousin Jeannie Dolbeare (who is identified) is 5th from the left.
On July 21, 2011 Lorna wrote "there were two separate buildings at the school. A smaller building (this photo) housed the first and second grades. I was in that building in my first and second grade. I think the third grade and on up were in the larger building. I don't know how many grades were in the larger building. It looks like I must be in the second grade because of the smaller children in front. If that is the case, Harry and Shirley would have been in the larger building when this photo was taken." I (Wilma Shewhart) therefore believe this photo was taken during either the school year 1934-1935 or 1935-1936.

Additional info - Shirley Jean, Harry Loomis, and Lorna Maye Shewhart were children of Harry Anthony and Emily Fidelia (Loomis) Shewhart. Harry Anthony's parents were Frank and Eugenia (Gard) Shewhart who lived their entire lives in Pike Co.
