17 June 1839 - Andrew Leeper appointed administrator of the estate with Peter Holland his security in the amount
of $50.
Last Will and Testament
I Sarah Leeper of the county and state aforesaid (Pope county Illinois)
considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being in perfect
mind and memory do make and publish this my Last Will and Testament in
manner and form following that is to say, First, I give and bequeath
unto my son Andrew Leeper my part of my fathers estate that is due me
and I also give and bequeath to my son Andrew my black horse, I also
give and bequeath to my three daughters, Polly Ward, Nancy Hughs and
Sina Goble my house hold and kitchen furniture to be equally divided
between them, consisting of the several articles of wit, one bed and
furniture, one bed stead one fallen leaf table on stand on flax wheel
one cotton wheel one chest two pots and one skillet and my wearing
apparel and one womans saddle also I give and bequeath to my grandson
Lewis Leeper one bed and furniture, and lastly I hereby appoint my son
Andrew Leeper sole administrator of this my Last Will and Testament
hereby revoking all former wills by me made in witness whereof I have
hereunto set my hand and seal this 23rd of May in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine.
